Wooden carcase covered with elaborately carved, pierced ivory panels secured with nails, set with 3 chased silver key plates and with 2 cast silver handles. On the lid, three quadrupeds are enclosed within roundels. The upper half of the casket body has two quadrupeds on either side of the key plate. Underneath, two drawers each have pierced and carved ivory panels surmounted by a square silver key plate which has chased and ring-matted ornamentation.
