Photograph depicting Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II), 1942. Half-length, seated, she is turning to face, looking to one side of the camera and smiling. Resting one elbow on the back of her chair, she holds one hand in the other. She wears a uniform (Grenadier Guards) blazer with a brooch on the lapel, and a matching hat decorated with a ribbon, a pearl and a leaf-like emblem.
