Rounded belly, cut inwards at the bottom, with small turned-out lip and large foot-ring. Shallow, domed slip-in lid with small knob. The decoration, in white slip under a clear brown glaze, consists of vertical zig-zags between bands round the jar, and crossing pairs of parallel lines on the lid.

Jar and cover, stoneware with with brown glaze and slip decoration; made by Funaki Michitada at Fujina pottery, Japan (Matsue), about 1930-35.
