Teapot with lid, in the form of a pumpkin, made of reddish-brown polished stoneware; well potted but somewhat carelessly finished e.g. hollow inside knob on lid, joint of spout to body. The spout has seven perforations at the spout hole inside. The point at which the slab of clay used to form the base is joined to the length of clay which is bent round it to form the body shows a clear join mark (this method of manufacture is unique to Yixing).

Teapot with lid, in the form of a pumpkin, made of reddish-brown polished stoneware; well potted but somewhat carelessly finished e.g. hollow inside knob on lid, joint of spout to body. The spout has seven perforations at the spout hole inside.
