The jacket is three-quarter length and is front fastening. There is an inset belt at waist level and buttoned cuff straps. There are two large flapped breast pockets. A buckled ribbon of nylon webbing runs vertically over the top of each pocket. The same nylon webbing ribbon runs down the centre back to waist level and there is a triangular section of soft leather sewn to the top back. The sleeves have a vertical french seam on the outside of the arm. The top half of the jacket and the sleeves are wadded and lined with natural calico.
