This collage is a student design project for a parking garage situated in Karlsplatz, Vienna. It is the key surviving work by a short-lived but influential architectural group who formed part of the experimental scene in Austria in the late 1960s. The design offers a commentary on the consumer culture and car fetishism of the period.

Physical description

The work depicts the entrance to a garage which is imagined as a gigantic pinball machine, designed to 'flip' the cars around as if they were pinballs.
