Inscribed on a piece of card from former mount, glued onto present mount, at lower left, in brown ink, C Poelemberg; and numbred in graphite, turned 90 degrees to the right, 226; and at lower right, in a nineteenth-century hand, in pencil (with Dyce's original inv. no.), 128.
