De Boodschap aan Maria, met eenige Kindertjes in de wolken, geteekend met Roet en met wit gehoogd, hoog 18½, breed 13¼ duim’ (to Goll van Franckenstein for 41 fl.); Jonkheer Johann Goll van Franckenstein the elder (1722–85), Velzen (his number 1272 in brown ink on verso); possibly Jacob Roelofs (d. 1824 or before), Nijmegen, possibly his sale, Amsterdam, de Vries … Roos, 8 March 1824, Album L, lot 21: ‘De Engel bij Maria; met dito [pen en o.i.inkt], door denzelven [A. Bloemaert]’ (together with lots 19–20 and 22–3 to ‘de Vries’ for 5.15 fl.); Rev. Alexander Dyce (1798–1869), London, by whom bequeathed to the museum (L. Suppl. 153b), 1869.
