Inscribed on plain Dyce mount, at lower right, in a nineteenth-century hand, in pencil (with Dyce's original inv. no.), 737. (DYCE COLLECTION. A Catalogue of the Paintings, Miniatures, Drawings, Engravings, Rings and Miscellaneous Objects Bequeathed by The Reverend Alexander Dyce describes the drawing as being signed Waterloo, but this is not visible on the digital image of the object.)
