Object history
Registered File number 1993/1964, Streetstyle exhibition 1994-1995, in the exhibition it was part of an outfit called 'Rockabilly Uk 1977-8' (includes the boots T.562-1993, the jeans T.563-1993, the bootlace tie T.310-1994 and the shirt T.311-1994). The look was deliberately dishevelled and shabby, in reaction to the overly smart and polished Teddy Boy look of the previous generation. However, some features from Teddy Boy fashion were retained, such as the bootlace tie.
