Gallery label
Label for the exhibition: "The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014" COWGIRL ENSEMBLE Gianni Versace, Autumn/Winter 1992 Leather, silk, metal and beads For this collection, Versace focused his interest in materials on leather. This ensemble, with its nod to Western-wear, is a tour-de-force of leatherwork. Both the waistcoat and trousers are covered with fine leather fringe, which is anchored to the garments with a complex series of small diamanté studs. The waistcoat fastens, bondage-style, with a row of buckles down the front. GIVEN BY THE DESIGNER V&A: T.209 TO 211-1994(05/04/2014-27/07/2014)
