Physical description

Writing box (suzuri-bako) with incurved corners of black lacquer decorated with gold and silver lacquer. On the outside of the cover are cherry, maple and pine tree on rocks with water. On the inside cherry blossoms floating down a stream the banks of which strengthened by baskets (jakago). The interior is filled with two shaped oblong trays decorated like the inside of the cover, and a board holding an inkstone and white metal water bottle in the form of a cherry blossom.
