Jar and lid, coarse grey stoneware with brown glaze.
With rounded shoulder and high flaring neck, the small flat lid fitting onto the inside of the neck. Fired on the flat base, which is unglazed, and which shows the piece's quick and coarse manufacture. Glazed outside and on the outer side of the knobbed lid with a thin and slightly degraded mottled brown/black glaze.
