Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
Jar, buff stoneware with crackled green glaze.
With high rounded shoulder contracting to a flat base, and small mouth which appears to have been slightly cut down. Two small lug handles are attached to the top of the shoulder. The piece was fired on the base, which is unglazed; grit adheres in a ring just above the foot, and a piece of kiln debris has been sliced off the side. Glazed outside with a thin, shiny greyish green glaze which is heavily crazed, and with a wash of brown glaze inside.
