Red plain weave silk tie-dyed all over except for the ends. The resist dyeing forms a pattern of flying birds against small spots. The tie-dyeing technique puckers the fabric considerably.
Obi-age (bustle sashes) are used to cover the obi pad and hold the top of the obi in place. They are tied in front and the ends are tucked into the top of the obi.
