Opera glass of ivory with a band of white relief decoration on a ground of blue and straw-coloured jasper-dip. Four panels on a blue ground are separated by anthemion and foliations, consisting of a woman draping an urn, and trophies on a column are by her side; Priam begging the body of Hector from Achilles; three male figures in fifteenth-century costume; and a seated woman holding a cup, which a standing female attendant is filling. Borders of husk-pattern and small trefoils on a straw-coloured ground. The ivory case is decorated with turned mouldings.
