Physical description
Medal, bronze, struck from a die, commemorating the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York to the City of London, on the occasion of their marriage, 6th July 1893. Obv.: T.R.H. THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF YORK, MDCCCXCIII. Heads superimposed to left. Rev.: JULY 6TH, 1893. The bride and bridegroom in a chariot guided by Cupid, received by a figure representing the City of London holding a cornucopia and an address of welcome. To the left, in front, the shield of arms of the City of London, behind, St. Paul's Cathedral seen through an arch inscribed FELICITAS G M; to the right, ships in the Port of London.
