Bottle, glazed buff stoneware painted in red and green enamels; elongated pear shape.

The upper part of the neck is missing and replaced by a metal mouth. The body, which was perhaps originally white, is thoroughly stained brown and covered with a crazed glaze on which the designs are painted in enamel.

Above the foot: a band of four conventional Ming 'lotus panels'; also six square panels comprising alternately of lozenge or 'cash' pattern and flower sprays; on the neck are six vertical compartments alternately containing leaves and waves.
