Group of a highland boy and girl. The boy is standing to the left, his hand resting upon the post of a fence at the foot of which the girl is reclining, fondling a dog. Both are wearing white; the boy wears a kilt and holds a feathered hat in his right hand and a string instrument in his left; he has balck hair; the girl has red hair. The fence and dresses are spotted with gilt. Scolled base picked out in gilt.
