Physical description

Plaque of black basalt of Dutch statesman Cornelius de Witt, oval in shape with a raised and moulded edge forming a frame. Bust portrait, half-turned to the right, and he has long hair, and wears a lace collar and fur-edged robe. Inscribed at the back with 'Cor de Witt'.
