Jug of earthenware transfer-printed in pink over the glaze. Pear-shaped with a moulded foot, projecting lip and loop handle. Printed on one side with the Freemason's Arms within a rococo frame inscribed with the mottoes 'AMOR HONOR ET JUSTITIA' and 'SIT LUX ET LUX FUIT'. Behind and below the arms is a square plinth with builder's tools, and to the left is a group of three Freemasons in conversation and wearing aprons. On the other side is a garden scene with a woman striking down a dove, and Cupid with a broken bow and arrows weeping. In the background is a small temple with a statue. Under the rim is painted a band of blue chevron-pattern.
