Part of a group of adults' and children's costume bequeathed by Miss E J Bowden (RF 68/1747). The original register entry states that "All the clothes in this collection were worn by Miss E J Bowden b(orn).1881 died 1968, or her mother Mrs Martha Bowden married c.1878, her father. Miss Bowden's father was a cabinet maker."
