Jug of earthenware transfer-printed in black enamel, and barrel-shaped with a spreading base and mouth, flat loop handle and projecting lip. On each side are the arms of the Joiners' Company as gules a chevron or between two pairs of compasses proper and a celestial globe, on a chief argent a pale sable charged with an escallop shell argent between two roses gules supported by two naked boys, one holding a doll, the other a square. The crest consists of a demi-savage holding a tilting spear. Above and below are floral sprays and scrolled ribbons inscribed 'THE JOINERS' ARMS' and 'JOIN TRUTH WITH TRUST'.
