Netsuke in <i>katabori</i> ('shape carving') form of the grimacing sage Gama Sennin seated on the ground with one leg bent and almost at a right angle, while the other leg is bent and loosely hanging down towards the ground, with his left hand resting on his left knee and his right arm bent at the elbow and holding up a toad perched on his right shoulder, wearing loose robes partly open to reveal his protruberant belly, in carved and stained wood with inlaid eyes. It is provided with a pair of holes (himotôshi) on the figure's back.
