Description: Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches and with couched metal thread, interlined with plain weave cotton, quilted.
The off-white ground is couched with metal thread in a small pattern of lozenges. The border is embroidered with metal thread and coloured silks with a meandering floral scroll, bordered by two narrow bands of black silk thread couched with metal thread in a zigzag pattern. The central lobed medallion with serrated edges surrounding a symmetrical arrangement of large flower heads. The very centre with a twisting circular flowers of blue silk and couched metal thread. The field with scrolling foliage and large flower heads. Evidence of black ink under drawing. The embroidery going through the interlining throughout.
