The trousers and their accompanying jacket form an outfit tailored in typical Korean style by the textile artist Chunghie Lee. Geometric patchwork forms the sleeves and trouser legs, while the jacket front is of figured silk gauze. The loose, relaxed shape of the trousers also derives from traditional dress in pre-modern Korea. Chunghie Lee, a graduate of Hong Ik University in Seoul, made this ensemble around 1993.

| Physical description | Women's trousers made of pieces of fine silk gauze, using a technique of multi-coloured geometric patchwork associated with Korean wrapping cloths. The trousers have a fuchsia pink waistband with a gusset of green. Both legs are made of geometric patchwork pieces in pale yellow, pink and orange interspersed with small areas of vivid turquoise and fuchsia pink. The trousers follow the traditional cut of Korean trousers (baji). |
