Coat from a Korean bridegroom's outfit. It is made of figured dark sea-green silk gauze in a pattern of roundels containing pairs of writing dragons in clouds. It has a rounded, scoop neckline and is side fastening. It is lined in royal blue figured silk with a pattern of clouds, lucky symbols and long-life characters. The collar band is of white figured silk guaze with roundels with pairs of writhing dragons. At the armpits are loops for the belt. The lining and coat are each secured by a pair of ties. At the chest and centre back are a pair of rank badges, each machine-embroidered with a pair of cranes holding the plant of eternal youth, among clouds, and above stylised rocks and waves.
