Landscape and environment form essential subjects for David Spero. His patient and perceptive observations of human intervention in the environment, seen from often neglected viewpoints, are rendered with great attention to detail. Here, building developments at Cardiff Bay are observed through the filter of the blinds of the board room window, creating a picture within a picture. The rank of chairs implies the unnamed committees and tables of power that lie behind city planning.(2008-2009)
