This vase is in the form of a maebyong and is covered with a crackled celadon glaze. On the body is underglaze white-and-black inlaid decoration of a goose and lotus. The mouth has been restored with gold lacquer. There are five large spur-marks (unglazed scars) on the foot ring. The ceramic production of the Koryo dynasty (918-1392) is characterised by celadon wares, which are stonewares covered with a light bluish-greenish glaze.
