Spoon
918 - 1392 (made)
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
There are over forty Korean spoons in the V&A's collections. These graceful bronze spoons were created for daily use at home or in the royal court. This spoon with its gently curved handle and rounded end could date from the early Koryô period (918-1392) as it lacks the exaggerated curves and swallow-tail shaped end that were popular later in the Koryô period.
