This was exhibited with others made by the same manufacturer at the International Exhibition, Paris, 1878, where it gained a gold medal. See Building News (1879), XXXVI, pl on p 198.

The same pattern can be found in the ante-library of Longleat, decorated during the 1870's and 1880's by J.D. Crace.
