The bowl is covered with a greyish green celadon glaze and has inlaid decoration in white and black. The exterior carries arabesque scrolls divided evenly by four chrysanthemums within double circles, a band of lotus petals, dotted circles and a grass border. The interior has a chrysanthemum in the well, with lychees, cranes amongst clouds, lotus petals, dotted circles and a grass border. There is a long crack on the body, a gold lacquer repair at the mouth. Another part of the mouth is repaired and painted over.
