Flowers, rocks and a fence with elaborate diaper and floral borders. The middle of the underside of both pieces has the number 4. All the decoration is in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greyish white. The foot-rim of the tureen and the vertical flange of the lid have been wiped clean of glaze. Many small white dots in the glaze particularly visible on painted areas.
Shape: Both parts are press-moulded. The fruit on the lid is hollow and connects with the underside through a glazed pierced hole. Fruit, stalk and leaves are all modelled by hand. The press-moulded heads on the ends of the tureen are hollow with open mouths.
