Mug of tin-glazed earthenware, painted. Flowers, leaves, two birds and a butterfly in green, yellow, orange, blue and manganese-purple. In the middle of the underside is the inscription S/R S/1755 in orange. Body colour: Buff. Glaze: Bluish white.
Shape: Handle flat on the inside and slightly grooved on the outside, with rolled terminal. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
