One side is painted with a strapwork cartouche inscribed P. EMMENAGOG surmounted by a shell flanked by two winged cupids. Below is a winged cupid's head and the inscription I : P/1723 flanked by floral swags. All the decoration is in red, green and blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greyish white. Outer part of base wiped clean of glaze.
Shape: Concave on underside and foot slightly chamfered. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
