Spirit barrel, earthenware. The whole of the exterior, including both ends, is covered with powdered blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Crawling at the ends and in the grooves of the body.
Shape: The applied rectangular surround to the bung-hole has a hole on either side pierced before firing. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
