Two cocks standing in a landscape with fence, a rock with apertures and a flowering tree within a border of flower sprays. The well has alternating artemisia leaves ( one of the Eight Precious Things) and panels of diaper pattern. All the decoration is in blue. The back has a leaf spray in the middle within the foot-rim and three herbal sprigs (almond branches ?) on the flange and well in blue.The rim is in brownish red.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Bluish white.
Shape: Shape D with shallower well and flatter flange. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
