The long sides have a repeated scene of a Chinese figure standing in a landscape with fence, pavilion and flying insects. The short sides have a repeated scene of an identical fence, landscape and flying insects. All the decoration is in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Bluish white pooling on the underside.
Shape: Three large circular holes and thirteen smaller ones in the top. Foot has a squared off chamfered edge. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
