Plate, buff earthenware with bluish white tin glaze, pooling slightly on the back. It is painted in blue with a galliot sailing close hauled with three other ships, buildings and hills in the distance, inscribed "THE UNION, HA. KLINCKERT. Ao, 1754. 6/1". On the rim a narrow border of alternating panels of floral and diaper ornament.
