Place of origin

A rock and flowering shrub within a border of flowers, foliate and diaper decoration in blue. In the centre of the back is the inscription C/I E/1748 and six dotted circles also in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Condition: A firing crack at 12 o'clock.
Glaze: Bluish white and very shiny, possibly from an added kwaart. The back has pooling and dribbles with many pinholes.
Shape: Shape M with more vertical well. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
