Cup of tin-glazed earthenware, painted. Simulated coat of arms with two mandolins inscribed 1659 with the letters [E]LIZBET H.HO... with strapwork and geometric decoration in blue. Body colour: Buff. Condition: Large parts reconstructed including foot but centre part of underside survives. Glaze: Grey much stained and crazed.
Shape: In the centre of the small part of the base which survives there is a hole into the interior of the stem with a small area of glaze round it. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
