Plate of whitish-grey fritware, painted in dark green and blue on a white slip and covered with a clear glaze. In the middle are conventional flowering plants outlined in dark green on a blue ground in a medallion, which is surrounded by five shaped cartouches containing Arabic inscriptions in reserve and produced by scratching through a dark green ground. The rim is painted with a formal pattern of half-flowers and geometrical bands in blue outlined in dark green. The lower side of the rim is divided by radial lines into six compartments, of which in each is a floral spray. Marked with an imitation of a Chinese character 'tassel' in dark green.
