Dish of tin-glazed earthenware. Decorated with King William III seated on a rearing horse wearing an ermine lined robe with crown and sceptre flanked by sponged trees inscribed KW, in blue, ochre and manganese-purple. Blue dashes and a yellow line at the rim. Three stilt marks on the front (8/8.3 cms point to point).
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Bluish white. A mixture of lead and dull bluish tin-glaze with darker streaks radiating from the foot and areas of whiter tin-glaze at the rim over a pale slip covers the entire back. Foot-rim wiped almost entirely clean of glaze.
Shape: Shape B without groove at rim. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)

Physical description
Dish of tin-glazed earthenware. Decorated with King William III seated on a rearing horse wearing an ermine lined robe with crown and sceptre flanked by sponged trees inscribed KW, in blue, ochre and manganese-purple.
