Leaves, schematic flowers and geometric decoration with the inscription Thos Sutton/ Esq/ 1738 in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greyish white. Slight pooling on the back and under the rim. Many small white dots in the glaze, particularly visible on painted areas. Three peg-marks under the rim.

Delftware barber's bowl, foliate and geometric decoration and an inscription, possibly Bristol or Liverpool, 1738.
Physical description
Leaves, schematic flowers and geometric decoration with the inscription Thos Sutton/ Esq/ 1738 in blue.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greyish white. Slight pooling on the back and under the rim. Many small white dots in the glaze, particularly visible on painted areas. Three peg-marks under the rim.
