Physical description

Bowl of glazed white fritware, painted in blue and in brown lustre. Painted inside with a human-headed bird with its tail ending in foliage within a medallion surrounded by a band of simulated Arabic characters among close foliage, the whole design being executed in lustre over a cross in blue on a white ground. The exterior is covered with a blue glaze, over which is a frieze of simulated Arabic inscription in lustre.
