A wreath enclosing the inscription God Save/ King George/ 1737 in red, yellow, green and manganese-purple.
Body colour: Buff.
Glaze: Greenish white, dribbling and pooling front and back. Some marks on the underside in an equilateral triangle suggest that the plate stood on a tripod after glazing but before firing as it has three peg-marks at the rim.
Shape: Shape H. (Alphabetic shape codes as used in appendix to Archer. Delftware. 1997)
