Cup (double walled), fritware, painted in black, pale yellow and green, glazed, Turkey (Kütahya), 1750-1775.
Physical description
Double cup of grey fritware, painted in greenish-blue and dark green on a white slip and covered with a clear glaze. Formed by two cups placed one inside the other. The outer one is painted with small discs in groups of three separated by vertical bands, the inner with a flower inside on the bottom and on the rim with a band of scrolls inside and of conventional ornament outside. Mark consists of four intersecting lines in manganese-purple.
