Long rectangular tile, fritware, decorated with a moulded inscription (probably from the Qur'an), painted in cobalt blue and outlined in lustre. The style of the script is Kufic rather than cursive. The background is painted in golden-brown lustre, with a decoration left in reserve of large spiral scrolls with small leaves. There is a narrow projecting border at the upper and lower edges of the tile, painted with a key pattern in lustre on a white ground.
