Delftware. Tile, tin-glazed earthenware with transfer-printed decoration entitled 'Mrs Cibber in the character of Monimia', probably printed by Guy Green, Liverpool, ca. 1777-1780.

Tin-glazed earthenware tile, square, transfer-printed in black with the title 'Mrs Cibber in the character of Monimia' above and below of an actress. It is one of twenty-six tiles depicting portraits of famous actors and actress, each within a border of theatrical trophies, including ribbons inscribed with the name of the person and his or her part.
