Oval grey solid Jasper medallion, one of five from a set of eight, (approx 2.5 x 2.1, C.107-1999 and 2.1 x 1.8 cm, the others) with applied reliefs of a classical woman in mourning robes holding an urn (facing right), each with a bevelled edge. The reliefs on C.109 and C.110 have a slight orange tint; the others have white or off-white reliefs. The head from the figure on C.108 has come away during firing.
NB it was not possible to examine the back of all, but C.111-1999 was examined and is not inscribed or marked.
